Provides legally blind high school students in the United States the opportunity to earn a scholarship, based upon strong academic accomplishments and merit. A single scholarship is also awarded to a current or prospective graduate student who is legally blind.

Empowering blind students across New Jersey, the NJABS division of the National Federation of the Blind of New Jersey fosters educational opportunities and overall well-being. Throughout the year, they disseminate information about scholarships, workshops, conventions, and internships, holding in-person meetings at the state convention and hosting presentations. Awards annual scholarships to low-income women, ages 35 and older, who are in an undergraduate or vocational training program and have a vision of how their education will benefit themselves, their families, and their communities.

Provides a variety of supportive programs to students of Perth Amboy High School and their families through the School Based Youth Services Program (SBYSP). Offers case management, assistance with college applications, community referrals for social services, immigration services, employment counseling, and recreational activities. Delivers intensive mental health counseling, including individual, group, and family sessions covering topics such as school, drugs/alcohol, abuse, family conflicts, peer pressure, relationships, eating disorders, and violence prevention. Prepares7th and 8th grade students for financially assisted admission to private day or boarding schools. Scholars undergo a 14-month program, starting with the Summer Challenge Program at The Hill School. Students prepare for the Secondary School Admissions Test, visit schools, and complete applications. SEEDS secures 90-100% financial aid and scholarships from partner schools, with transportation provided.
Affords young people an opportunity to participate in community recreational leagues by providing financial assistance through an objective, competitive selection process.
Provides college funding to children of post-9/11 veterans who died on active duty, or those who have a combined VA disability rating of 50 percent or greater.
Provides federal grants, loans, and work-study funds to students attending college or career school. Services include: informing students and families of aid and programs available to them; accurately disbursing, reconciling, and accounting for federal student aid funds that are delivered to students at colleges and universities; managing repayment from federal loan borrowers; developing FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid); processing student submissions annually; and a helpline that provides free assistance to students, parents, and borrowers with the financial aid process.
