HPOG - Passaic County Community College | Northern New Jersey Health Professions Consortium
Provides funding for TANF and other low-income participants to obtain the skills and credentials necessary to secure and retain employment in areas of high demand within the healthcare industry. Eligible applicants will be selected by lottery to participate in these training opportunities. If chosen, the funding will cover essential educational costs including tuition, textbooks, medical supplies, uniforms, certification exams, and job search aid. Also offers training courses for administrative medical assistants, EMTs, and pharmacy technicians.

Eligibility
- U.S. citizen or permanent resident.- Must be at least 18 years of age.- No criminal record.- Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) participant or low-income.- Test of Adult Basic Education (TABE) scores of 9th grade level or higher in Reading and Math. For the EMT program, scores must be 10th grade level or higher (waived for EMT students already enrolled in the EMT course at Union County College or applicants with proof of college degree).- Must agree to provide consent to have personal data accessed as part of the research study.
