Empowers TANF and low-income participants through the Health Professions Opportunity Grant (HPOG), providing funding for skills and credentials necessary to secure employment in high-demand healthcare areas. Eligible applicants selected by lottery can receive funding for tuition, textbooks, medical supplies, uniforms, certification/licensure exams, and job search assistance. HPOG offers various courses, including Administrative Medical Assistant, Certified Dental Assistant, Certified Medication Aid, Certified Nursing Assistant/Aide, Hemodialysis Technician, Medical Transportation, Ophthalmic Medical Technician, Pharmacy Technician, Phlebotomy Technician, and Therapeutic Massage Therapist.

Eligibility
- U.S. citizen or permanent resident.- Must be at least 18 years of age.- No criminal record.- Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) participant or low-income.- Test of Adult Basic Education (TABE) scores of 9th grade level or higher in Reading and Math. Testing is waived for applicants with proof of college degree.- Must agree to provide consent to have personal data accessed as part of the research study.
