NJ 2-1-1 Partnership operates the after-hours hotline for Ocean County. This program responds to crisis, offering assistance to vulnerable adults living in a community setting, who may be the subject of abuse, neglect and/or exploitation. All referrals for people in need of Adult Protective Services are confidential.

Provides assistance for older adults, people with disabilities and other vulnerable individuals who are unable to act on their own behalf or manage their own affairs, or who are in immediate danger due to physical or emotional abuse, unsafe or hazardous living conditions, exploitation, neglect, self-neglect or abandonment.
Receives and handles complaints about adults mistreated in boarding homes. A referral to a County Welfare agency and police for follow-up is made after the complaint is received. Complaints about abuse, exploitation, unsafe or unsanitary conditions in rooming houses, boarding homes, and residential health care facilities.
Responds to crisis, offering assistance to older and/or disabled adults who are in situations of abuse, exploitation, or neglect. All referrals for people in need of Adult Protective Services are confidential.
