Family Intervention Program | Arc of Gloucester County

Delivers intervention programs for families with children (birth to six years) at risk for child abuse and neglect. Services encompass parent education to enhance parenting skills and child development knowledge, client advocacy, linkage to additional supports and resources, assistance in developing and implementing plans for significant changes, classroom instruction for children covering various developmental areas, organized parent groups with outside speakers sharing community resources, and home visitor services to observe and reinforce child care and development.

S.T.E.P. Parent Ed. Program | Mt. Olive Child Care and Learning Center

Offers a 12 week program in Systematic Training in Effective Parenting (STEP) in the Fall and in the Spring. For parents who have difficulty coping with the behavior of their toddler, preschool, or school age child or may be often stressed when dealing with their children's behavior. Included in the program are mentoring support services, free child care, dinner, and transportation (if need be) to and from the session.

Provides parenting education and support in a secure setting, the Family Life Center assists individuals connected with the Division of Protection and Permanency (DCP&P). These include the Anger Victim Support Group, Buddy Group for women rejecting violence, Children's Group focusing on child abuse prevention, E.N.D. counseling for addressing issues of anger and control, and a Parenting Class for thoughtful decision-making. Additionally, there's a Sexual Assault Group providing assistance and support for survivors.
