JET | Collier Youth Services

Provides an eight-week summer program that combines life-skills education, mentoring and an incentive-based, paid work experience at Collier Services' Kateri Day Camp. Through JET, at-risk teens from Monmouth County are given instruction in such areas as resume writing, workplace behavior, conflict resolution and drug and alcohol awareness while also completing specific tasks to maintain the grounds or to assist with camp activities.

Job Corps | US Department of Labor

Provides low-income and at-risk youth ages 16-24 with career technical training and education, enabling them to earn a high school diploma or equivalency, college credits, and industry-recognized certifications in over 100 career fields. Participants receive housing, meals, healthcare, a living allowance, and training at no cost during the 8-12 month program. After graduation, career transition counselors offer up to 21 months of support to help secure employment and independent living.
