Youth Rise Program | Passaic County Community College
Assisting out-of-school Passaic County youth aged 16 to 24 in earning a high school equivalency diploma, the program enhances life skills and prepares them for college and careers, offering stipends to eligible participants. It includes preparation for the High School Diploma Equivalency Exam in Math, Reading, Writing, Science, and Social Studies at the students' own pace, as well as instruction in career and life skills such as interviewing techniques, resume writing, job search strategies, career exploration, college readiness, financial literacy, goal setting, and effective communication. Additionally, it provides assistance in improving basic skills and navigating the college process.

Application process
Students must be prescreened with Youth Rise staff. Upon successful screening, students will be scheduled to take the basic skills test. If they pass, students will need to complete a two-week Certification Process with the Passaic County One Stop Career Center.
Eligibility
Passaic County residents between the ages of 16-24 and pass a basic skills test.
