Applicants must be between the ages of 16 - 24. Be a citizen, legal US resident or authorized immigrant. Meet low-income criteria (on public benefits or at/below poverty level). Need of additional technical training or education outside of the public education system. Get a signed consent form from a parent or guardian if they are a minor. Make a child care plan if they are a parent of a dependent child. Meet behavioral and drug-free requirements while in the program. Young people who are school dropouts, runaways, foster youth, parents, or homeless are particularly welcome to apply.

Description

Operating a residential career technical training and education program for low-income and at-risk young people aged 16 through 24, the initiative enables students to attain a high school diploma, high school equivalency credential, college credits, and industry-recognized certifications across over 100 career areas, typically spanning 8 to 12 months. Throughout the program, participants receive housing, meals, basic healthcare, a living allowance, and career-oriented training, all at no expense. Post-graduation, a career transition counselor offers support for up to 21 months, aiding in securing employment and independent living.
