New Jersey Partners in Policymaking is an 8-month leadership development and advocacy education program for adults with developmental disabilities, ages 18 and over. The goal of this program is to prepare the next generation of disability advocates to work toward meaningful statewide change.
Supports students in Kindergarten through 12th grade, ages 5 to 21, fostering learning outside the traditional school setting. Catering to those with various challenges, including anxiety, depression, behavioral difficulties, and psychiatric disorders, High Point maintains a low staff-to-student ratio (1:3) and limited class sizes (up to 12), ensuring personalized educational plans. Combining a robust academic curriculum with evidence-based positive behavior supports and therapeutic services, the school team, comprising psychiatrists, nurses, teachers, clinical social workers, and crisis intervention specialists, collaborates to create a safe and effective learning environment.
