Project Lifesaver | Middlesex County Office of Aging and Disabled Services

Provides a bracelet, fitted with a transmitter, utilizing radio technology to aid in locating missing persons. Eligible county residents with a history of wandering due to illness or disability, like Autism or Alzheimer's disease, can receive the bracelet free of charge. A caregiver living with the participant must check the bracelet's battery signal daily. In case of a missing family member, the Sheriffs Office employs a specialized tracking device to pinpoint their location. However, Project Lifesaver does not substitute constant supervision and monitoring or other safety measures like alarms.
