NCMEC receives reports of new missing children cases, updates on ongoing cases, and sightings of missing children, collaborating with local law enforcement to investigate each case in the quest to locate every missing child. Cases range from autistic and wandering children to family abductions, runaways, and disaster-related incidents. NCMEC accepts reports and sightings for all types of cases and offers free information to families and organizations to enhance child safety awareness and preparedness.

Call local law enforcement to initially report a missing child. After calling local law enforcement, please call the Missing Children hotline for services.
