Provides the NJ State General Assistance Program to assist Rutherford residents over 18 years of age who have no income and very limited resources. Offers referral to State, County and Local agencies to meet the needs of residents who are stuggling due to illness and hardship.

Offers support services and short term emergency assistance for families in times of crisis, when funds/donations are available. Including vouchers for clothing, furniture, emergency needs.

Provides need-based assistance to active-duty and retired Sailors and Marines, their eligible family members, and survivor. Assistance includes, financial assistance and counseling, Quick Assist Loan (QAL), budget for baby, emergency travel, disaster relief, thrift shop quick assist loans.

Provides emergency/general financial assistance to eligible persons.

Provide comprehensive support to individuals and families facing immigration and detention crises through a 24/7 hotline, legal aid, housing referrals, case management, counseling, food assistance, community advocacy, court accompaniment, and monthly educational and support events.
