Conducts assistive technology evaluations on children with disabilities to determine which technology tools will help them access the curriculum and succeed in school. Also conducts hands-on workshops and provides technical assistance in using instructional and assistive technology to enhance teaching and learning.

Empowers individuals with disabilities by offering supportive services, including Information and Referral for assistive technology devices and services, Advocacy Services, Legal Representation for cases of denied access, a used equipment recycling program named Back In Action, and Educational Presentations highlighting the benefits and strategies for obtaining assistive technology.

TECHConnection provides assistive technology solutions and computer resources for anyone who has difficulty using, reading, seeing or hearing the computer. This includes children who are struggling with learning in the school environment and those who have learning disabilities or other developmental disabilities. Services include but are not limited to adult educaton class, assistive technology information, and compupter classes.

Customer service is available for hearing or speech impaired individuals with a TTY or TDD device.

Offering on-site sensitivity training, the New Jersey Division of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing covers various topics including providing equal communication access for deaf and hard of hearing individuals. Presentations, lasting two hours, can be tailored to fit scheduling needs. The goal is to ensure equal access to services for deaf and hard of hearing individuals. These trainings benefit businesses, social services agencies, government entities, educational institutions, hospitals, and other organizations. Topics include common challenges and impact of hearing loss, relevant laws, effective communication strategies, and accessing communication services like interpreters and CART.
