Serves as a NJ EASE agency that serves as a single point of contact for a variety of senior programs includes health care, insurance, home care services, long term care options, transportation, social activities, nutrition, and volunteer opportunities.

Provides a range of services encompassing benefits screening, legal assistance (living wills and guardianships), transportation, home care, long-term care, nutrition sites (including Kosher-specific centers), emergency home cleaning, prescription discounts, home repair/barrier free program, caregiver connection resource center, information and referral, and senior centers.

Operates several supportive programs for senior citizens, and their families, who live in Atlantic County. Services include:- Caregiver Support Group: Meets on a regular basis, formed to help relieve caregiver stress and to provide peer support, education and information to caregivers, both elderly and non elderly, of older persons.- Fix-It Program: Available to any senior citizen 60 or older, whose safety is at risk due to the need of handrails and minor home repairs, enabling them to remain living at home.- Information and Assistance (Call Center): Provides information on such programs as PAAD, Senior Gold, Adult Day Care, Transportation, Home-Delivered Meals, Juvenile and Family Services, Dental Care and Caregiver Support Groups.- Legal Services: Renders free legal assistance to low-income elderly and disabled residents. Cape-Atlantic will not represent a client if he/she is a defendant in a criminal matter nor will it provide assistance if a person is requesting to sue someone for monetary gain. It will, however, assist people with landlord/tenant issues, wills and living wills, food stamp appeals, domestic matters and consumer fraud matters.- Medical Day Care: Program offers assistance to any senior or disabled citizen who requires care and supervision in a protective setting for a portion of the day, with emphasis on the physically or cognitively impaired older adults.- Recreation and Social Activities: develops and coordinates special trips for senior citizens. While some functions do require participants to pay a nominal fee for special events, senior groups may call to learn of planned activities or suggest special activities.- State Health Insurance Program (SHIP): provides counseling and assistance to seniors and disabled persons on Medicare regulations and explanations on supplemental or Medigap insurance policies. The counselor is available on a part-time basis and will make home visits and presentations to groups, if requested.- Social Day Care: program offers assistance to any senior or disabled citizen who requires care and supervision in a protective setting for a portion of the day, with emphasis on the social and recreational activities in a group setting.- Social Security Administration On-Line Benefit Information: Includes benefit verification letter, payment history and earnings record. Also - provides ability to change address and update direct deposit information and information about other online services, such as applications for retirement, disability and Medicare.

Refers individuals, ages 60 and older, and their caregivers to programs and services needed to help them remain independent and active in the community, and provides support to the caregiver.

Advocacy promotes and ensures the full inclusion of people with disabilities in the community. The staff directs efforts toward working with individual consumers, who face difficulties in areas of housing, employment, transportation, remaining independent in the homes, assists with completing applications for immigration, Social Security, and other financial benefit programs.Special services are also offered for underserved minorities who have disabilities.

Operates as a clearinghouse, advocating for individuals with disabilities and delivering local-level technical assistance along with specialized information and referral services. Provides information about disability services, referrals to disability-specific agencies, advocacy for obtaining disability services, details on assistive devices, ADA issues, and disability-related housing renovations. Offers assistance with applications for NJ Temporary Disability and Social Security, prioritizing individuals mandated to apply by the Division of Social Services. Please note that financial assistance, Medicaid/Medicare services, housing, transportation, or any service unrelated to disability services is not provided by the Hunterdon County Office for the Disabled.

Provides senior outreach and case management services for older adults and disabled persons in Passaic County. Services include:- Assistance with obtaining entitlement services (Medicaid, food stamps, etc.)- Housing referrals- Minor home repairs

Provides assistance to older adults and adults with disabilities to enable access to programs and community resources.

Provides various recreational activities, includes abacus practice, art classes, bible studies, book club, chess club, drop-in center, gardening, knitting, and music appreciation.

Supports Monmouth County residents with disabilities by offering various services, including providing information, referral, and advocacy for individuals and their families. Serves as a liaison to state and non-profit agencies, participates on advisory bodies, and monitors county government compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).

Provides various services to seniors in the community.Services include: Assisting and connecting seniors to the proper resources, Cultural services, Education services, Health services, Hot lunches Medical Transportation services, Meals on Wheels, Recreational events and Transportation for seniors and disabled for shopping and around the town.

Offering on-site sensitivity training, the New Jersey Division of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing covers various topics including providing equal communication access for deaf and hard of hearing individuals. Presentations, lasting two hours, can be tailored to fit scheduling needs. The goal is to ensure equal access to services for deaf and hard of hearing individuals. These trainings benefit businesses, social services agencies, government entities, educational institutions, hospitals, and other organizations. Topics include common challenges and impact of hearing loss, relevant laws, effective communication strategies, and accessing communication services like interpreters and CART. Additionally, information on Division programs and services is provided.

Provides social service support to older adults and caregivers through the provision of community referrals and telephone outreach. InfoCare connects seniors with social, educational and clinical opportunities to improve their health and well-being and assists in making linkages to legal assistance and long-term planning.

Provides information, assistance, referral and advocacy for seniors, persons with disabilities, their caregivers and the general public needing access to services.

Operates specialized groups that serve the Franklin township community.Services includes; Medical Services Group whos purpose is to adequately maintain basic needs of seniors and medically impaired residents. The Working Single Parents Group consists of people that assist each other in crises situations through financial assistance. Provided as well are Non-interest loans for payment of Rent, Security, Mortgage, Utilities, Telephone, Automobile Insurance, Child Care, Funeral Related Expenses.
