Uses a multi-disciplinary approach to prevent, educate, and intervene on firesetting behavior. An assessment may be completed with the youth and family to determine the risk level for firesetting behavior. Low risk youth are referred for fire safety education, moderate risk are referred for a combination of education and therapy, high risk youth are referred for an intensive treatment, which could include inpatient or residential treatment.
