Substance Use Education and Public Awareness | Middlesex County Division of Addictions and Mental Health Planning

Responsible for planning and development of programs for the treatment and rehabilitation of persons with alcohol and drug dependency problems. Referrals to substance abuse treatment for adolescents and adults are provided. The staff also develops policies and programs for the prevention of alcohol and drug abuse. Services are provided for indigent clients.

Provides up to 18 months of teletherapy, teledoula, and virtual peer recovery coaching services to pregnant and postpartum individuals dealing with alcohol and substance abuse issues. Clinicians deliver personalized counseling, certified doulas offer birth education and hospital support, and peer recovery specialists bring their unique insights. Additional complimentary services include pharmacotherapy maintenance, toxicology screenings, and therapeutic groups via telehealth, fostering connections among mothers in recovery.
