Recruits people of all ages who would like to volunteer their time and talents to assist various county departments and/or programs, and will assist anyone interested in volunteering in general. Volunteer programs includes handyman program, tax assistance program, tutoring program (K-12), and State Health Insurance Assistance Program (SHIP).
Provides advocacy, community service information, education programs, recreation programs, and volunteer opportunities to senior citizens.

Recruits volunteers for the Sexual Abuse and Assault Program at Saint Francis Counseling Service to work on the 24-hour hotline and provide support to rape survivors at area hospitals. Individuals with relevant work or life experience, particularly bilingual (Spanish), are encouraged to apply. Training workshops, leading to certification as Confidential Sexual Violence Advocates (CSVA), are held periodically. Volunteers commit to three flexible 12-hour shifts per month upon completion of the training.

Seeks individuals and students that are looking to give back to the community and/or who need to fulfill community service hours. The Volunteers are the backbone of the organization.
AmeriCorps is a community-based program that recruits, trains and places members in intensive service learning opportunities at non-profits and schools throughout Middlesex County. Learning opportunities include help with disaster services, economic opportunity, education, environment stewardship, healthy futures, veterans and military families. Members can earn up to $5,550 educational stipend and a living allowance in return for thier commitment and service.

Recruits and trains individuals to serve in intensive community service programs on a part time or full time basis. It is a network of national service programs.
Operates as a civilian volunteer component of the US Coast Guard. Teaches boating safety classes. Performs boating safety checks. Patrols the waters and coastline on sea, in the air, and on land.

Recruits' youth, school-aged youth, for volunteering in supervised community service projects. Members come together from throughout the county to volunteer community service projects. Summer intensive programs place volunteers at non-profit organizations over two 4-week sessions. Weekend projects take place throughout the year. Transportation is provided to and from volunteer sites.

Older workers can supplement retirement incomes and are given the opportunity to continue to use their varied skills and experiences in service to their community. The Seniors Program is designed to provide part-time subsidized training for persons 55 or older. The seniors will be placed in community based non-profit organizations while in training to upgrade skills for unsubsidized employment.
Pairs senior volunteers with pre-school, kindergarten and first grade children to advance their literacy skills. It is the only in-classroom program of its kind in Monmouth County and is currently in 19 underserved public schools. Volunteers visit the same classroom each week during the school year to read to a small group of children and share their love of literature. Reading Buddies
Provides educational and employment services for income-eligible participants seeking to achieve personal, educational, and professional self-sufficiency goals. Access services such as Adult Basic Education, ESL, Adult Literacy, Computer Literacy, Financial Education courses, Career & Skills Assessments, Job Training, Job Placement & Referral, and Professional Development Workshops & Activities.

Allows seniors to be included in volunteer opportunities with the community. Seniors have the freedom to choose what non-profit, faith-based organizations, government agencies, health centers, schools and senior centers. They are able to volunteer whenever they choose.
Fundraises for the community and social services through campaigns in the workplace, and special event activities. Coordinates with local state and federal governments in joint funding ventures. Directs funds to agencies that provide services to residents in the community who are in need.
