AmeriCorps is a community-based program that recruits, trains and places members in intensive service learning opportunities at non-profits and schools throughout Middlesex County. Learning opportunities include help with disaster services, economic opportunity, education, environment stewardship, healthy futures, veterans and military families. Members can earn up to $5,550 educational stipend and a living allowance in return for thier commitment and service.

Provides volunteer opportunities in Monmouth and Ocean Counties. Coordinates volunteer provision to local organizations in need of volunteers.

Empowering both youth and adults to enhance their knowledge, skills, and quality of life, and address challenges in food, nutrition, health, wellness, safety, agriculture, and environmental management through science-based insights and university research. Available programs encompass 4-H Youth Development (grades K-13), Master Gardener training and certification, and volunteer initiatives, alongside family and community wellness programs.

Offers individuals with developmental disabilities a range of tailored supports and services, including fee-for-service options, individual advocacy, IEP support, person-centered planning sessions, service planning, social work services, transition planning for high school graduates, a three-year college experience, an Independent Living Program for those living independently, and the DDD Supports Program featuring community-based supports, inclusion, prevocational services, and volunteering opportunities.

Recruits volunteers for the Sexual Abuse and Assault Program at Saint Francis Counseling Service to work on the 24-hour hotline and provide support to rape survivors at area hospitals. Individuals with relevant work or life experience, particularly bilingual (Spanish), are encouraged to apply. Training workshops, leading to certification as Confidential Sexual Violence Advocates (CSVA), are held periodically. Volunteers commit to three flexible 12-hour shifts per month upon completion of the training.

Empowers youth and caregivers with Long-Term Mentoring Program to achieve personal success, our Long-Term Mentoring Program matches them with trained volunteer mentors. These mentors spend quality time with their mentees, helping them build confidence, learn new skills, and discover new passions. The program requires a 12-month commitment, with an option to renew. With Short-Term Mentoring Program provides weekly phone calls to seniors who miss community connections but cannot leave their homes, our Short-Term Mentoring Program offers essential social support. This helps alleviate loneliness and improve overall well-being, with matches renewed monthly based on participants' needs and volunteers' availability.

Provide personalized attention and adapted activities, fostering social connection for individuals with developmental disabilities through arts, games, and inclusive events.

Recruits and trains seniors for volunteer opportunities, including foster grandparents, senior companions, and retired and senior volunteer program.

Works with community partners and volunteers to provide manpower and support to aid in more efficient work. Provides an opportunity to engage and connect with veterans and community members while generating community impact in a tangible way.

Operates a clearinghouse for volunteer services in Burlington County. Recruits and places volunteers by matching their interests and skills with the needs of the public and private agencies and community organizations.

Provide crisis intervention, domestic violence awareness, food pantry aid, legal and immigration help, workshops, career and notary services, therapy referrals, and emergency housing through WAFAA's Community Involvement program, fostering connections, reducing isolation, and empowering families

Older workers can supplement retirement incomes and are given the opportunity to continue to use their varied skills and experiences in service to their community. The Seniors Program is designed to provide part-time subsidized training for persons 55 or older. The seniors will be placed in community based non-profit organizations while in training to upgrade skills for unsubsidized employment.

Provide campers with opportunities and necessary supervision, bridging gaps to foster self-esteem, emotional growth, and social relationships at the permanent facility for disabled children and young adults.

Provides a volunteer program for people, age 55 and over, where participants can choose how and where to volunteer in the community. Volunteers can also determine a time commitment that suits their lifestyle.Volunteer-Based Programs

Fundraises for the community and social services through campaigns in the workplace, and special event activities. Coordinates with local state and federal governments in joint funding ventures. Directs funds to agencies that provide services to residents in the community who are in need.

Provides a hands on approach to enable youth to develop the knowledge, attitudes, and skills they need to become contributing citizens to their communities. The goals of the 4-H Development Program are to provide informal educational programs, encourage responsibility, and improve community partnerships and collaborations.

Provides free programs, education, advocacy and research for mothers and babies focused on preventable maternity and birth complications. Resources are targeted towards pregnancy, labor and birth, prenatal and postnatal, pregnancy complications, and birth defects.

Recruits and trains individuals to serve in intensive community service programs on a part time or full time basis. It is a network of national service programs.

Allows seniors to be included in volunteer opportunities with the community. Seniors have the freedom to choose what non-profit, faith-based organizations, government agencies, health centers, schools and senior centers. They are able to volunteer whenever they choose.

Offers volunteer opportunities to anyone in the community 14 years of age or older.

Matches individuals who wish to volunteer their time and talents with organizations in need of assistance.

Provides advocacy, community service information, education programs, recreation programs, and volunteer opportunities to senior citizens.

Operates as a civilian volunteer component of the US Coast Guard. Teaches boating safety classes. Performs boating safety checks. Patrols the waters and coastline on sea, in the air, and on land.

Participating in the Citizen Corps Program, CERT-Community Emergency Response Team organizes volunteer services for crime, natural disasters, and terrorism. CERT members play a crucial role by offering vital support to first responders during emergencies, aiding victims, coordinating spontaneous volunteers, and gathering disaster intelligence. Training typically spans 18 hours, conducted in 2-4 hour modules over weeks or months, covering areas such as basic First Aid, Family Disaster Preparedness, Disaster Fire Suppression, Medical Operations, CERT operations, Disaster Mental Health, Basic emergency Management, and Disaster Simulation-Skills review.

Arranges volunteer opportunities for interested individuals, school, corporate and civic groups, etc. Volunteers are matched with non-profit community organizations who can benefit from the volunteer's interests, skills and talents.
