Provides parenting education and support in a secure setting, the Family Life Center assists individuals connected with the Division of Protection and Permanency (DCP&P). Its goal is to reduce abuse or neglect risks by encouraging positive parent/child interaction. Parents attend nurturing parenting classes, receive referrals to community resources, and participate in stress and anger management sessions. Children engage in supervised parent-child interactions, developmental activities, and receive homework help.
