Provides instruction in Braille and daily living skills to children, ages 4 -12, for two weeks in the summer who have lacked the opportunity and exposure in such areas. Additionally, children interact with other visually impaired/blind children and adults, and go on field trips.
Provides a variety of supportive services for blind and visually impaired individuals. Services include:- Information and referral- Braille instruction- Peer support group- Advocacy- JAWS and Zoom Text computer classes- Stand Along Reading Apparatus (SARA) classes- White cane instruction assistance- Access to the latest aids and appliances
