Provides assistance on all matters affecting estates, guardianships and similar probate matters, New Jersey laws, rules of the court and case law involved in this area. The surrogate also determines the validity of wills, appointments of administrators of estates, and guardians of minors.
Provide services to county residents by overseeing probate of wills, administration, guardianships, trusts, adoptions, management of minors' funds, records, and weddings. Fulfills statutory duties related to wills and guardianships of minors and incapacitated individuals.
Offers comfort and support to patients and their families who do not meet insurance criteria for hospice or traditional home care. Prepares patients and their families for eventual admission to the Hospice Program. Also provides patients with relief from pain and other distressing symptoms, and helps patients live as actively as possible.
Provides information to senior citizens/older adults on available resources including food, housing, material goods, transportation and utilities also provides information about community agencies and organizations offering specialized services where available.Services include: Living Wills, Senior benefits assistance, Assistance with senior legal issues, Housing search assistance, Boarding home complaints.
