Assists military personnel who have been deployed overseas in Iraq or Afghanistan with their legal needs at no cost.The program offers assistance in four areas:- Family Law- Employment Law- Debtor-Creditor Law- Military/Administrative LawRefers members of the military to volunteers qualified to assist them with their specific legal issues.

Provides affordable, quality legal representation for immigrants so they do not have to use high priced private attorneys or unqualified notaries. Legal staff accept the following types of cases: citizenship, family petitions, work permits (NACARA, VAWA) and domestic violence cases. The program also organizes between six and eight community information meetings a year to inform immigrants of U.S. immigration laws and report on potential changes proposed or approved by Congress.

Providing representation and assistance, the Immigration Assistance Program is authorized to represent clients before the United States Immigration and Naturalization Service (INS) and the Immigration Courts. Staffed with bilingual counselors and attorneys, services include representation in removal proceedings, guidance on immigration and citizenship matters, such as citizenship applications, family reunification, employment-based applications, Visa applications, and refugee travel documents, along with translation services for documents and photographs.

Assistive Listening Devices
Provide Rutgers School of Law students in the Immigration Rights Clinic to serve the local and national immigrant population through individual client representation and broader advocacy. Under faculty supervision, students handle cases ranging from relief from removal and asylum to protection for victims of human trafficking, battered immigrants, certain crimes, and abused, abandoned, or neglected immigrant children. Working in teams, students take charge of all aspects, including interviewing, counseling, witness preparation, fact investigation, legal research, drafting documents, and oral advocacy. Many students represent clients at immigration hearings at the end of the semester.
