Provides the information on offenders with intellectual / developmental disabilities, and acts as a liaison between the human service and criminal justice systems. Advocates for this population by providing the court system with a plan designed to be an alternative to incarceration. The program then provides case management services by monitoring the plan through the duration of the probationary sentence. In addition, the program provides consultation, education, training, technical assistance and program development to criminal justice and human service professionals.
Provides intensive supervision, community service and case management to court involved youth while maintaining the youth with his/her family within the community where s/he can maintain school involvement/enrollment, seek or maintain employment, and have access to local social services. Lower level supervision program than home detention providing the same services except for the use of electronic monitoring devices.
Offers 24 hour electronic monitoring through GPS tracking, supervision, case management and mentoring services as an alternative to court involved youth. HDP staff ensures compliance with mandated community service, and court ordered treatment by administering random drug screens and providing transportation to appointments.
