Family Resource Center | Mental Health Association of Essex and Morris
Provides support, counseling, education, information, and advocacy for families caring for a loved one with mental illness. Adult services include counseling for setting realistic expectations, managing stress, securing housing, and planning for the future. Support groups and specialized sessions are available. Educational programs cover causes, symptoms, treatment options, housing, government subsidies, community resources, and coping strategies.For children, services include Kids Cope for support, Family Partner for consultations with emotionally troubled children, and Parent Cope for individual and group support for parents of children with emotional, behavioral, and mental health issues.
