Emergency Assistance | Union County Division of Social Services

Provides emergency assistance to recipients of WFNJ/TANF/GA and SSI. Benefits include, but are not limited to: shelter and household furnishings, temporary rental assistance or housing costs, utility payments (such as heat, water, and electric), moving expenses (security deposit or first month's rent), rapid rehousing for TANF recipients.

Eligibility

Applicants must be currently receiving WFNJ/TANF/GA or SSI benefits. For the Rapid Rehousing program, self-sufficient TANF families who are currently homeless.
