Application process

Visit website to apply online before the deadline for the applicable tax year. Individuals must file application (Form PTR-1 or PTR-2).

Eligibility

Must meet all of the following requirements for each year from the base year through the application year:- Age 65 or older on Dec 31, 2021; or receiving Social Security Disability (SSD) benefit payments- Have total annual income that falls at or below $99,735- Continuous resident of New Jersey as a homeowner or renter for at least 10 years- Owned and lived in current home for at least the last 3 years- Home must not be a vacation or second home, or consist of more than 4 units- Paid full amount of property taxes due on the home
