Provides assistance by focusing on the needs and concerns of the unpaid caregiver. An RN will provide a full assessment of the caregiver's situation after a home visit and develop an educational plan for the caregiver that may include lifting techniques, personal care procedures, a nutrition assessment, referral to community resources, transferring techniques, disease education and development of coping skills.
