Eligibility
Individuals who meet any of the following eligibility criteria:For SSI: - Low income people who are blind, have a disability, or are 65 or older- Disabled or blind children under the age of 18For Disabled Children's Benefits:- Any child (under the age of 22) who is disabled- Individuals who were disabled before the age 22 and remain disabledFor Survivor's Benefits:- Widows and widowers of the deceased worker- Divorced spouses of the deceased worker- Children under the age of 18 of the deceased worker (including children who were disabled before the age of 22)For Retirement Benefits:- Are at least 61 years and 9 months old- Are not currently receiving benefits Social Security benefits- Have not already applied for retirement benefits and want your benefits to start no more than 4 months in the future
