New Jersey Vital Statistics Record Ordering | NJ Office of Vital Statistics
Providing birth, marriage, and death records from 1878 to the present, the service offers three types of records: certified copies, with the raised seal, suitable for identity and legal purposes; certifications, lacking a seal and intended for genealogy; and an Apostille Seal, necessary for certified records presented to foreign governments or for international adoptions. Additionally, records can be obtained from the local Registrar in the municipality of the event.
