Supportive Housing Program | Community House at Saint Thomas

Open to individuals, ages 18 years of age and older, who have a chronic physical disability and meet the income limits set by HUD. Applicants must be mentally alert and self-directed. In addition, all applicants must be able to self-evacuate in under three minutes and capable of spending 20 hours outside of the house involved in volunteer work, employment, or attending school/training.

Description

Provides stable housing for adults with physical disabilities who are mentally competent, self-directed, and low-income. Residents also receive access to social services that supplement independent living, as well as case management services on weekdays.

Community House is safe, affordable, assessable housing that provides the individual with the supports they need in order to increase independence and integrate into the greater community as those without disabilities do.
