Provides free legal services and counseling in civil matters to financially eligible low-income individuals. Assistance includes entitlements/public benefits, consumer advocacy, housing issues, family matters, domestic violence, senior citizens' rights, disaster issues, general legal questions, Medicaid, migrant farm-worker problems, utility disconnections, AIDS advocacy, and casino licenses.

Application process
Calls are answered by an automated service. A Legal Line attorney or paralegal will return calls for legal matters they can assist with. If eligible for services, advice or a referral to an attorney will be provided.
Eligibility
Open to low income individuals who are financially eligible. Income must not exceed 200% above Federal Poverty level (250% for Sandy-related matters). Services are to senior citizens regardless of income.Cases must be a civil matter within program limits. Call for more information.
