Youth Resource Center | Bergen County Division of Family Guidance
Establishes a center for young people, ages 13 to 18, to cultivate positive relationships, utilize after-school and summer hours constructively, develop skills, explore personal goals, and engage in activities such as visual arts, music, dance, cooking, and homework help. Integrates substance abuse prevention, leadership, and presentation skills, preparing college mentors and youth leaders to educate younger teens and their families. Incorporates original music, poetry, dance, film, acting, and visual arts. The Youth Resource Center offers a range of activities, including visual arts, filmmaking, writing, acting, dance, music studio, cooking, sports, yoga, self-exploration and leadership, trips, special projects, homework help, employment assistance, and computer, literacy, and high school equivalency (GED) lab.
