Intoxicated Driver Resource Center (IDRC) | Preferred Behavioral Health Group
Mandated by the court, the Intoxicated Driver Resource Center (IDRC) educates and evaluates individuals convicted of DUI (Driving Under the Influence), including drunk and drugged drivers and underage drinkers. Offenders face license revocation and possible incarceration for non-compliance. Those convicted of "Driving Under the Influence" must attend a court-mandated 12-hour Driving While Intoxicated (DWI) Offenders program, conducted by the Division of Public Health. The program, serving as an alternative to jail, includes drug and alcohol education, evaluation, treatment referral, and monitoring when indicated. IDRC groups are available in both Spanish and English, and specialized services are provided for Army Reserve and National Guard members who served in Afghanistan or Iraq.
