Provides free legal assistance to New Jersey tenants who are facing eviction. Services are available to those who are renters and owe a landlord.

Volunteer Lawyers for Justice (VLJ)

Provides free legal services to low-income people in New Jersey on the following civil (non-criminal) legal issues: eviction defense, consumer debt defense, bankruptcy, criminal record expungement, driver's license restoration, denial of education services public schools, and estate planning. Also provides civil legal assistance to survivors of human trafficking, veterans, and families in Newark's South Ward and regularly hosts legal clinics, know-your-rights seminars, online classes, and more.
