Eligibility

Open to first-time homebuyers in good standing with the DCA Housing Choice Voucher Program, employed full-time for at least 1 year (exceptions for elderly/disabled), and who complete DCA homeownership counseling in the service area

Required documents

Photo ID, Proof of current section 8 voucher, Proof of income, homeownership counseling completion certificate, Mortgage pre-approval and contract documentation and Inspection reports (private and HQS)

Enable first-time homebuyers with a DCA Housing Choice Voucher (Section 8) to apply their voucher toward monthly homeownership costs-mortgage, insurance, taxes, and utilities-instead of rent.
