Provides a residential treatment halfway house for adult women recovering from a substance abuse addiction. The residence treats the disease of alcoholism and drug addiction, providing clients with the tools and skills needed to live productive and responsible lives.

Accepts self pay with a sliding scale available. Work First New Jersey (WFNJ), the South Jersey Initiative (SJI), Drug Court (DC), MAP Program, DUI Initiative (DUII), and the Fee for Service Initiative (FFS) are also available.
Eligibility
Women who meet all of the following criteria:- Have a documented history of alcohol and other drug dependency based on the Addiction Severity Index 'Fifth Edition' and DSM IV diagnostic criteria.- Is at least 18 years of age and meets ASAM Patient Placement Criteria, Second Edition (ASAM PPC-2) for Level III.1.- Has been detoxified for at least seven (7) days.- Has successfully completed a formal rehabilitation program of variable length of stay, detoxification or has otherwise been assessed to be appropriate. - Is drug free (exception will be made upon receipt of a physician's verification of a physical condition requiring medication other than mood altering drugs); antidepressant and other types of co-occuring medications may be acceptable.- Is able to conform to the employment and program directives at Hansen House. They must be ambulatory and physically and mentally able to participate in the treatment programs. This includes early employment and an obligation to pay room and board.- Must reside in the region served by Hansen House.- Must be medically cleared to be free from all communicable diseases.
