Senior Program | American Academy of Ophthalmology
Help connects eligible seniors, ages 65 and older, with local volunteer ophthalmologists who provide a medical eye exam at no out-of-pocket cost, and up to one year of followup care for any condition diagnosed during the initial exam.

Fee
Ophthalmologists operate on a volunteer-basis and will waive any co-payments, accepting Medicare and /or other insurance reimbursement as payment in full. Patients without insurance receive this care at no charge.
Eligibility
Open to seniors, ages 65 and older who do no belong to an HMO or have eye care benefits through the VA and have not seen an ophthalmologist in three or more years.
