Emergency Assistance (EA) | Gloucester County Division of Social Services
Offers emergency assistance to prevent homelessness for WFNJ/TANF/GA and SSI recipients, providing benefits like shelter, rental assistance, utility payments, moving expenses, and rapid rehousing. Additionally, the SSH program assists individuals or families facing short-term emergencies with rent, utility, or mortgage arrears, regardless of TANF, GA, or SSI status.

Eligibility
Applicants must be currently receiving WFNJ/TANF/GA or SSI benefits. For the Rapid Rehousing program, self-sufficient TANF families who are currently homeless.Individuals or families encountering short-term emergencies involving rent arrears, utility arrears, mortgage arrears and are NOT recipients of TANF,GA or SSI may also apply for the program.
