Emergency Shelter | Jersey Shore Rescue Mission

Offers emergency shelter for up to 37 single men, allowing transient guests to stay overnight for ten nights. The sleeping area is constantly supervised for safety. Men can access showers, laundry facilities, and a safe, drug-free environment. While chapel services attendance is encouraged, it's not obligatory. Guests with substance abuse issues may receive referrals to detox centers, emergency rooms, public health clinics, or mental health crisis intervention centers.

Shelter: 24 hours a day, 7 days a week;Intake: Mon - Sun 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm

Application process

Walk ins are accepted, but priority is given to individuals who have been referred from local hospitals or the Board of Social Services. First-time and non-recent returning guests (more than 6 months) must arrive during walk in hours to complete a screening. Call for more information.

Eligibility

Consumers must not have COVID-19 symptoms. Single men, ages 18 and older, in the service area. All guests must be ambulatory.
