Eligibility

To be eligible for health coverage through the Health Insurance Individual Marketplace, applicants: - must live in the United States - must be a U.S. citizen or national (or be lawfully present) - can't be currently incarceratedEligibility for health coverage through the SHOP Marketplace (Small Business Health Options Program): - The SHOP Marketplace is open to employers with up to 100 full-time-equivalent employees (FTEs). - If a client is self-employed with no employees, they can get coverage through the individual market Health Insurance Marketplace, but not through SHOP. - To use SHOP, employers must offer coverage to all of your full-time employees, generally those working 30 or more hours per week on average. - In many states, at least 70% of full-time employees must enroll in business' SHOP plan. - To see how many employees must enroll in SHOP or for further information, Visit the website
