Description

Empowering families, Regional Family Support Planning Councils facilitate informed decision-making tailored to their needs. These councils allow both family members and individuals with developmental disabilities to serve, aiding the Division of Developmental Disabilities in resource allocation for regional needs. Members receive reimbursement for travel and childcare expenses incurred while serving on the council.

New Jersey Council on Developmental Disabilities

Assures individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities (I/DD) in New Jersey, and their families, participate in the design of and have access to needed community services. This includes individualized supports, and other forms of assistance that promote self-determination, independence, productivity, integration and inclusion in all facets of life through culturally competent programs.
