Through Health Connection, a free information and physician referral service, residents can locate suitable family physicians or specialists. Additionally, the Health Promotion department offers courses on smoking cessation, stress management, and self-esteem, among others, alongside free screenings and health fairs. The program also operates the "Healthy Avenues Van," delivering health care information and screenings to over 34,000 individuals across 24 surrounding New Jersey communities annually, addressing various health concerns including diabetes, stroke, blood pressure, cholesterol, colon health, skin damage, cancer, prostate cancer, and breast cancer.
