Oversees and supervises public and private agencies delivering financial aid and support services to individuals and families, including leadership in managing Work First NJ (WFNJ) programs like Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) and General Assistance (GA), the NJ Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (NJ SNAP), as well as child support and child care services. Administering agencies include County and Municipal Welfare Agencies (CWAs and MWAs), One-Stop Career Centers for WFNJ, CWAs for SNAP, Child Care Resource and Referral Agencies (CCR&Rs) for child care subsidies, and CWAs, courts, and probation for child support.
