Intoxicated Driving Program | Atlantic County Division of Public Health
Educates and evaluates drives under the influence and underage drinkers who have been convicted of DUI (Driving Under the Influence). Offenders are mandated by the court to participate in the IDRC program. Non-compliant offenders face revocation of their licenses and possible incarceration. Individuals who are convicted of a DUI must attend a 12- or 48-hour Driving While Intoxicated (DWI) Offenders program conducted by the Division of Public Health. Includes drug and alcohol education as well as evaluation, treatment referral and monitoring when indicated. The program is court-mandated and in lieu of a jail term.
