Assists defense teams in cases involving battered women by providing technical assistance on civil and criminal law matters, including identifying defense strategies, offering relevant case law and litigation materials, locating expert witnesses, identifying support networks for victim defendants, and suggesting additional sources of information and assistance. Additionally, offers information on promising practices for responding to domestic violence, accessible through a toll-free telephone line. Note that BWJP does not offer direct representation.
