Newark Outpatient Clinic and Psychosocial Rehabilitation | NJ Department of Veterans Affairs - Health Care System
Established to serve veterans, the Community-Based Outpatient Clinic enables registration with the Veterans Administration (VA) and offers specific medical exams. Staffed by a Practice Manager for applications, appointments, and referrals, the clinic also has a nurse or nurse practitioner conducting medical exams and prescribing medications. The on-site Psychosocial Rehabilitation and Recovery Center delivers mental health services for veterans with severe and persistent mental illnesses, including case management, counseling, education, employment assistance, individual psychotherapy, insurance benefit assistance, public affairs, and outreach to homeless veterans and those at risk of homelessness.
