Mental Health First Aid | Mental Health Association of Monmouth County
Provides an eight-hour training course designed to identify risk factors associated with mental health and substance use concerns. Participants develop pre-crisis and crisis intervention strategies by engaging in experiential activities to build understanding of the impact of mental illness on individuals and families. The training covers common signs and symptoms of mental health and substance use challenges, how to interact with a person in crisis and connect them with help, and expanded content on trauma, substance use, and self-care. Training may be provided in-person or in a blended setting.
