Joseph Kohn Training Center | NJ Commission for the Blind and Visually Impaired

Empowers individuals, aged 18 and older, who are blind or visually impaired to develop skills for employment, education, and independent living through comprehensive training programs. Participants can reside on-site during the week while engaging in various training modules, including kitchen skills, independent living skills like budgeting and grocery shopping, communication skills, Braille instruction, mobility skills, technology/computer training, career assessment, vocational counseling, psychological services, and entrepreneurship training through the Business Enterprise of New Jersey (BENJ) program.

Eligibility

Open to New Jersey residents, ages 18 years or older, who are blind or visually impaired. Eligibility is determined by review of an eye report.
