Safety Net Grant | American Kidney Fund
Supports patients with kidney disease by directly providing financial assistance for treatment-specific needs, including durable medical supplies like BP cuffs, home hemodialysis expenses such as modifications, machines, and training, kidney donor and transplant costs. This includes medication (both prescription and over-the-counter), mobility aids, nutritional supplements, treatment-related expenses.

Eligibility
Open to individuals that have chronic kidney disease (on dialysis or had a transplant) and are financially needy. Patients must not be covered for the requested expense by any other program or insurance.Applicants must demonstrate financial need on the patient application. Financial needs will be assessed based on numerous factors including household income, reasonable expenses and liquid assets.Grants are not available for hospital or medical bills, physician's services, dialysis treatment costs or transplantation surgery.
